Swim Camp

Service Description

If you like camping and you love swimming then this is for you. 2 nights basic camping near Winfrith Newburgh, Dorset, not quite wild camping but not far off! A field, a fire pit, and a hot tub, what more do you need? There is a loo and basic facilities like fridge and kettle located in a barn, where we can also shelter in if the weather is inclement. We will be able to rinse off and hang up your wetsuits overnight so hopefully they wont be too damp for the following day! Itinerary: Friday night meal, meet your fellow swimmers, coaches and safety crew. Saturday: morning coaching with video footage taken to analyse later. Two adventure swims of 1-2k each depending on swimmers abilities. Lunch stop (not provided) cake and hot chocolate stops (provided). Back to campsite for the evening to warm up in the hot tub before heading to the nearby pub for supper (not included) Sunday: we will look to do a slightly longer swim, between 2-3k depending on swimmers abilities, in a different location to the previous day. Swim locations will be dependant on weather and we will chose the safest and most scenic locations that we can. You will be in and out of the water, swimming, walking and generally enjoying this fantastic stretch of coastline and all it has to offer. From Old Harry's to Durdle Door, Dancing ledge to Newtons cove, it will not disappoint you. This is a swim adventure for all abilities, however you must be able to swim 200m front crawl non-stop. You will be grouped with others who are of a similar ability to you, so speed is not a a problem, but you must be able to swim for at least an hour at a time with occasional stops. Mix of breaststroke and front crawl is fine. Please contact me if you are in doubt at all. Evening meals are provided, bring food for breakfasts ( a barn kitchen area is available with kettle and sink) any snack you may need and we will stop near cafes for lunch or you can bring a packed lunch too. *Please bring your own food and camping supplies, some campervans can be accommodated. A suggested kit list will be sent to you before the event. **deposit of £100 to secure your place, with the balance to be paid 8 weeks before your arrival. Please see our terms and conditions

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel a swim retreat or swim camp place up to 8 weeks before the holiday you will be refunded minus £25 admin fee. If you cancel after this time you will only be refunded IF we can fill your place. We will always endeavour to fill your place in case of a cancellation, but it cannot be guaranteed, so please bear this in mind when booking. We reserve the right to cancel any holiday or swim if numbers are not sufficient. You will be offered a full refund minus £20 admin fee, or transfer to another swim.
