Long Distance Swim Training
Ultraswim 33.3, channel swims, Lake Windemere, Dart 10k or any other distance swim challenge that you've set yourself, we've got you covered.
Training Plans
We can help you with your training. Via zoom we will have an initial chat about your goals and current fitness level. We will then design a plan, just for you. This is not a generic plan, but fully individualised training plan that will help you to achieve the challenge you have set yourself. From 5k to 33k, it doesn't matter, we will help you get there. From land based strength & conditioning exercises to nutrition and mental resilience training, we will be with you every step of the way. Monthly zoom meets to support your progress and build your training plan as you progress.
Training Swims
We have a range of swims throughout the year to help you train. We have 1-2, 3 & 5 km swims in May, June & July to get your training started and build your distance. We have 5+ km swims in August and September where we can increase the distance to up to 10k if required (supplement will apply).
We also have long distance Tuesdays every other week in June and July with an hours coaching session, a short workshop/Q&A followed by a distance swim of up to 2 hours in Weymouth Bay.
#12 Croatia UltraSwim 33.3 Training
Sea Swimming Familiarisation
25th April
What are the differences between pool or lake swimming and the sea?
A day workshop where we will look at how you can adapt to sea swimming in preparation for Ultra 33.3 events in particular, but the rules apply to all long-distance sea swimming events.
We will cover topics such as sighting, salt mouth, buoyancy & pacing, along with how to actually swim in bigger conditions, whether it's swell from the side or wind chop coming straight at you. We will talk through any fears or worries, including marine life, toilet issues and sea sickness and of course we will get you in the sea to practice.
Itinerary:
10.30 Introduction and initial discussion over a coffee.
11.30 Swim 1
12.30 Lunch at a cafe (not provided) and a deeper delve into sea swimming
